Setting up Macino

Macino requires macOS 26 or later. The application builds for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Installation

The full-release download is being prepared. When it is available, get the ZIP from the Download page, expand it, and move Macino to Applications. Open Macino from there.

Your first visit

If there is no Macino profile yet, Macino checks the usual Camino profile folder and copies the supported data. Your original Camino folder stays intact. See Moving from Camino before your first launch if you have an old profile to preserve.

Make yourself at home

Open Macino → Preferences to adjust its behaviour. Use File → Open Location… to enter a website address, or Search the Web… to move to the search field.

Keep your usual browser available while you explore. Macino’s release notes list what has changed and what is still missing.
