About Macino
The browser, like it used to be. Based on the original Camino code, but with a modern engine inside.
A familiar place
Macino is a small revival of Camino’s native Mac interface. Its aim is the delight of using it again: the buttons, bookmarks and windows you remember, running on a Mac you have today.
Camino and Macino
Camino used Mozilla’s Gecko engine. Macino keeps the Camino interface and uses the WebKit engine supplied with macOS. It is an independent project, unaffiliated with Mozilla or the original Camino Project.
This website follows Camino’s 2012 layout, section order and typography, using Macino’s new icon and current documentation. Visit the original Camino website for its history.
