Recovering saved data
When Macino reports a save problem
The alert identifies the affected file and offers Retry Save or Keep Browsing. Your latest changes can remain in memory while the app is open. Fix a full disk or folder-access problem and try saving again before quitting.
If a save is still failing when you quit, Macino offers Keep Browsing, Quit Without Saving or Retry Save. Quitting without saving can lose changes made since the last successful write.
Backups and damaged files
Macino retains a previous valid copy of several profile files as .bak and can load it if the primary is unusable. Damaged files are preserved before replacement. This is one previous version, not a substitute for your own backups.
History uses a database with different recovery behaviour. Macino reports a damaged history database rather than silently replacing it with an empty one. Keep copies and ask for help before deleting data.
Where the profile lives
The normal folder is ~/Library/Application Support/Macino. Quit Macino before copying it. Preferences, passwords and WebKit website data are also stored through macOS services, so a profile-folder copy alone does not back up everything.
